Using backup codes and recovering 2FA

Backup codes are one-time codes you saved when you turned on 2FA. Each works once.

Step by step

1. On the 2FA prompt, choose Use a backup code instead of the app.
2. Enter one unused backup code to sign in.
3. Once in, open Profile → Security to regenerate codes or re-link a new device.
